Fat Boy Swim is a very touching story and it made me feel differently about people. It was moving but there was lot of bits that were funny and it was so good I would like it to be made into a film. Catherine Forde came to my school and it was interesting to talk to her and learn how she wrote Fat Boy Swim.

	Jimmy is an overweight, bullied 14 year old living in Glasgow. His life is turned around by the intervention of his local priest and football coach who encourages him to learn to swim, for which, it emerges, he has a great natural talent. Growing in confidence and fitness, he reveals his other main talent as a chef, discovers romance, and then has to face shattering family secrets.
